Weapon

Şaban Teoman Duralı defines a weapon as “an instrument intended to wound or kill a living being.” In the light of this definition, the concept of “weapon” possesses a much broader field of meaning beyond its narrow sense in military terminology. Killing need not necessarily be understood solely as a physical or biological act. Any means employed to undermine morale or psychological resilience, deprive a person of the desire and will to live, extinguish that will, or frustrate their motivation may, in this broader and metaphorical sense, be regarded as a weapon.
